Don’t They Look Deathly Delicious?

Ingredients:
1 ½ cups butter
3 cups of white granulated sugar
5 eggs
2 tbsp lemon and vanilla extract
3 cups of flour
½ tsp of baking powder
1/3 cup of milk
24 cupcake cups
skewers
waxed-paper-lined baking sheet
small serrated knife
chocolate mousse frosting
red candy gel
tempered chocolate
Plastic wrap
Spatula
Cookie cutters in the shape of a knife
Instructions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Cream butter and sugar until smooth.
3) Add lemon and vanilla extract.
4) Beat in each egg individually.
5) Sift flour and baking powder.
6) Stir in flour and baking powder while alternating with milk.
7) Fill cupcake cups to 2/3 full.
8) Bake and cool 2 dozen cupcakes from this recipe. Prepare a 3.4-ounce box of vanilla-flavored instant pudding and place it in the refrigerator to chill for 30 mins.
9) Next, with a small serrated knife, remove a 1-inch-wide chunk from the center of each cupcake. Fill each hole with a tablespoon or so of the red candy gel.
10) Cover each cupcake with chocolate mousse frosting.
11) Finally, you are ready to make your chocolate knives. First,
12) Wrap a piece of cardboard with plastic wrap. Pull the plastic wrap tightly until there are no visible wrinkles.
13) Spread chocolate on it with a spatula, about 1/8 of an inch thick.
14) Chill until chocolate is half-way set and then use a heated cookie cutter to cut your knife shapes. You will need to dip the sharp edge of the cookie cutter in warm water. But, make sure that it is absolutely dry before using it to cut the chocolate. Or, if you cannot find a cookie cutter with the right shape, use a pointed paring knife and cut the chocolate into the desired shapes.
15) Because chocolate curls up as it cools down, you will need to wrap the pieces tightly in plastic wrap and place them on the back of a pan to cool. Be sure to cool the pan in the refrigerator so that it will set properly.
16) Repeat the same steps if you wish to make the handles on the knives.
17) A Great Tip: If you want your knives to be a specific color, use spray on food-coloring for the tempered chocolate. Ensure that the knives are the proper size for the cupcakes and place them in the middle so as to give the appearance that the knives are stabbing the cupcakes and the blood (red candy gel) is dripping from the knives. It may be wise to add some red candy gel to the knife itself.
