Basket of Baby Gifts Cake

I used 2 x 14inch round cakes pans. Bake and cool.
When cool I filled and did the basket weave around the cake. Butter cream icing was the choice of icing.
For the handles I just rolled out snakes to the thickness that would look good, and twirled two together, stuck a wooden dowel in each end shaped it like a handle and let dry for 24hrs. Same goes for all the fondant pieces on top. I just hand made them and let dry in advanced before placing on the cakes. I would say make the fondant pieces 24-48 hours ahead of time.
It was actually a very simple cake to do.
