Spongebob Squarepants Birthday Cake

Spongebob Squarepants cake called ‘Pineapple Under The Sea’ for an 8 year old girl.

I used a KitchenAid metal mixer bowl and an 8″ round cake pan for the baking pans. I used buttercream icing and placed the molded cake shape over the 8″ cake, and sculptured to shape. Covered the cake with colored buttercream frosting and lined the pineapple.

Using sugar paste, I shaped the door, windows, smoke pipe, shells, pineapple leaves and Spongebob himself and placed on cake. The sand was white nonpareils, and I used chocolate river rock for the pathway.

Happy Birthday was printed and placed in Spongebob’s hands. The cake fed 12.
